Hi! I’m Craig. I’m the Minimalist Musician. I’m an aspiring minimalist and a full time director of music at a church. So, yes...I am a minimalist....musician! Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
What is this blog about? If you guessed minimalism, you’d be right....partially. If you guessed music, you’re on the right track. But this blog is more than just stuff and music. It’s about all-encompassing health, which music and stuff do play a major role in that!
At one point in my life, I liked having lots of stuff. I collected things. Sports cards, music books, CDs, and so many other things. But in the end, do those things really matter? Not really. At one point in my life, I liked shoving food in my mouth and not exercising. Did that help me? Not at all. It got me fat and lazy. I’m less fat now, and I’m still a work in progress on both parts, but that’s the whole thing. It’s about the journey and the freedom that comes through intentionality.
I used to look like this:
Now, I look like this:
It’s been about 14 or so years between those 2 pictures along with marriage and 2 children. It’s slow progress, but it’s progress nonetheless.
As time rolls on, you’ll find posts about stuff, about music, about making healthy choices when it comes to food and exercise, spiritual growth, rest, quiet and much, much more.
